Protecting the Kashmiri Pandit Community: Security Review Meeting Held

Days after a terrorist group released a hit list of 56 employees from the Kashmiri Pandit community, Union Home Secretary Ajay Bhalla reviewed the security situation in Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday. The meeting was attended by senior officials from the ministry, paramilitary forces, the JK administration, and police.

During the meeting, the officials assessed the current security situation in JK. It was a regular monthly review meeting, with some representatives from the JK administration participating through video conferencing. They also discussed security threats to various leaders.

A blog associated with The Resistance Front, a faction of LeT, published a list of 56 Kashmiri Pandits who were hired under the PM’s Rehabilitation Package. The blog also issued a warning of potential attacks against them.
