The Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation (GCMMF) has raised the price of Amul branded milk by Rs 3 in all markets, excluding Gujarat, effective immediately. In a statement to Amul Milk retailers, consumers, and distributors on Thursday, GCMMF announced that the price of all variants of Amul pouch milk has been increased starting from the night dispatch of February 2, 2023. The new prices are Rs 66 per litre for Amul Gold, Rs 54 per litre for Amul Taaza, Rs 56 per litre for Amul cow milk, and Rs 70 per litre for Amul A2 Buffalo milk. A senior GCMMF official stated that the price hike was necessary to cover rising operational and production costs. The decision to raise prices in Gujarat will be made at a later date. GCMMF has opted to keep milk prices unchanged in Vizag, Patna, and Srinagar for the time being.
