Central Beware of Job Scams! Haryana Police Arrest Two Men for Cheating Father of Rs 7 Lakh

Haryana Police arrested two men for allegedly scamming a person out of Rs 7 lakh by promising a job at Indira Gandhi National Open University in New Delhi for his daughter. The accused, Arun Bhattacharya and Rajkumar, are residents of Baltana in Zirakpur, Punjab.

The victim, Parveen Kumar of Shahabad in Kurukshetra district, was promised his daughter a job as an assistant registrar at the university. He was told to pay Rs 7 lakh upfront and Rs 8 lakh after the job was secured. The suspects assured Kumar that his daughter would be hired within a month and took the Rs 7 lakh as advance payment, according to a police spokesperson.

A case has been filed under the relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code and the accused have appeared in court. Further investigations are ongoing.
