For the first time, 55 cadets from the Royal Saudi Naval Force (RSNF) are undergoing training with the Navy, along with five Directing Staff.

The Navy announced on Friday that these cadets are currently attached to the First Training Squadron ships, INS Tir and INS Sujata, as part of their afloat training program.

Navy Chief Admiral R Hari Kumar met with the cadets from King Fahd Naval Academy who are currently undergoing sea training at the Southern Naval Command in Kochi.

During the meeting, the Admiral was briefed on the cadets’ ongoing harbor and afloat training activities, including familiarization sea sorties, and the progress they have made during their training period.

As part of their training curriculum, the cadets underwent simulator training before starting their sea training phase.

The cadets have spent 10 days at sea on board the Indian Naval Ships, where they received thorough training on practical aspects of navigation and seamanship, including navigation in pilotage waters, anchoring, coastal navigation, replenishment at sea, sea boats, firefighting, and emergency drills.
