Central India Condemns OIC Criticism, Calls for Zero Tolerance Against Terrorism

1 min read

India strongly condemned the comments made by OIC-IPHRC criticizing New Delhi for the recent court ruling. External Affairs Ministry Spokesperson Arindam Bagchi emphasized the global demand for “zero tolerance” towards terrorism and urged the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) not to support it in any way.

“The remarks from OIC-IPHRC criticizing India for the Yasin Malik case are unacceptable,” Bagchi stated, highlighting the implicit backing of Yasin Malik’s terrorist activities by the organization. He was addressing media inquiries on OIC-IPHRC’s response to the NIA court’s judgement against Malik.

“We must stand united in the fight against terrorism, and OIC must refrain from justifying it,” the spokesperson added.

Yasin Malik was recently sentenced to life in prison by a special NIA court for his involvement in a terror-funding case.
