Amit Shah: The Unsung Hero of Indian Politics

1 min read

Union Home Minister and senior BJP leader Amit Shah was praised by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Wednesday as a humble “backstage hero” who shies away from seeking credit for his work. Singh remarked that Shah, who was known for his extensive workload in both government and party affairs, preferred to remain in the background and was also an avid reader.

Singh lauded Shah for his meaningful and concise communication style, and also praised his knowledge in politics, spirituality, and other subjects. Singh also acknowledged the challenges Shah faced in his life, referring to the bittersweet memories of his time in jail during the Sohrabuddin Sheikh case, from which he was later acquitted.

Singh also took a subtle jab at the Congress, mentioning the harassment faced by Shah and Prime Minister Narendra Modi from investigating agencies, and highlighting their trust in the justice system. This was in reference to the Congress’s protests when Shah and Modi were summoned by the ED in the National Herald case.
